Clearing & Demolition
Before any grading or foundation work can start, the site has to be opened up and brought down to workable ground. GRH Construction handles the clearing and demolition that takes a raw or built-up parcel and makes it ready for construction.
Scope of work
- Tree, brush, and undergrowth removal
- Grubbing of roots, stumps, and buried debris
- Topsoil stripping and stockpiling for reuse
- Demolition of existing structures, slabs, and foundations
- Haul-off, sorting, and disposal of cleared material
- Erosion control set before the ground is disturbed
We sequence the work so erosion and sediment controls go in first, protect whatever is meant to stay, and stage cleared material for reuse or haul-off. The result is a clean, stable pad ready for earthwork, not a problem the next phase has to fix.
Done in the right order
Clearing is the first thing that happens on most sites, and getting it right sets the tone for everything after. We protect trees and utilities that stay, keep the public right-of-way clean, and leave the site graded enough to drain while the next phase gets underway.

Most jobs touch more than one of these. We self-perform the core sitework and coordinate the rest, so the whole package stays in sequence.
