Retaining & Soil Stabilization

When grade changes are too steep to slope, or soils will not hold what is built on them, the ground needs reinforcement. GRH Construction stabilizes soils and delivers the retaining structures that keep grade and foundations where they belong.

What's Included

Scope of work

  • Segmental and modular block retaining walls
  • Soil correction and over-excavation
  • Structural fill placement and compaction
  • Subgrade stabilization
  • Geotextile and reinforcement installation
  • Compaction testing coordination
Our Approach

We self-perform the soil work and the smaller walls, and deliver engineered walls with licensed specialty partners — either way, grade holds and foundations get a base they can rely on. Where soils are poor, we correct them before they become a problem for the structure above.

A stable base, before anything goes up

Poor soil does not get better on its own. We identify it early, over-excavate and replace or treat it, and compact structural fill in controlled lifts, so the wall holds and the foundation has ground it can trust.
